Monaco SIXENSE Soldata returns on the Monaco rocks

4 instrumentation contracts in Monaco for 4 different main contractors, RAZEL-BEC, SATRI, VINCI and EIFFAGE

The Art Deco building built in 1932 will be replaced by an ultra-modern complex of 5 buildings.

The project, which also consists of a 6-storey underground parking facility, will require a 20 metre deep excavation to be constructed and supported by a retaining wall.

SIXENSE Soldata has been assigned by RAZEL-BEC as part of the « observational monitoring method » for 18 months duration. SIXENSE Soldata will be in charge of setting up a CYCLOPS system to monitor the retaining wall and the neighbouring structures.

We’re hoping to complete this system by providing other geotechnical and structural measurements.

New Princess Grace Hospital

Again the Principality won’t do things by half: the new hospital will partly swallow the old one, whilst providing 100% operational capability during the 44 months of construction!

SIXENSE Soldata has been assigned by SATRI and will be in charge of the installation and the follow-up of the complete monitoring system.

The monitoring system consists of a CYCLOPS, 40 load cells on tie rods, 16 extensometers 5 points with an average length of 35 m, 20 strain gauges in the wall and all connected to an automated acquisition system.

North Harbour

The redevelopment of Monaco’s North Harbour is a major construction project, which will extend the upper promenade located at the Albert 1er boulevard towards the sea. SIXENSE Soldata was asked by EIFFAGE to carry out sonic measurements in the panels of the diaphragm wall in the first phase.

The Golden Square

Neighbouring the « Winter Sporting » site, Monaco’s « Golden Square », previously called « La Floride » will be a building complex with several apartments. Before the construction, the existing buildings will be demolished.

SOBEAM (VINCI in Monaco) has selected SIXENSE Soldata to carry out all the monitoring works for the project (automatic measurements by CYCLOPS, manual surveying, inclinometer and vibration measurements) as well as the compilation and weekly metric analysis of the data.
